FAQ'S

There is no prescribed application form for profile correction. The student who wishes to make correction in his/her student profile should submit a request addressed to the Controller of Examinations remitting an amount of Rs. 630/- along with supporting documents.

There is no prescribed application form for name correction. The candidates who wish to get their name corrected in grade cards/mark lists as in SSLC or qualifying certificate should apply for the same with a request along with original grade card/mark list to be corrected and original SSLC or qualifying certificate.

At present position certificate is issued to candidates up to the 10th position as per request. Immediately after publication of the result of final semester examination a provisional list will be published and provisional certificate is issued as per request. The list will be finalized after completion of revaluation process and final position certificate will be issued as per request. Students can apply for position certificate in form no. 19 available in the University website along with final consolidated mark list. Fee for position certificate is Rs. 210/-.

Applicants who have passed SSLC examination from schools within the territorial jurisdiction of the University and have not undergone any course of study under the University should apply for registration as a matriculate in the prescribed form (Form no. 17). They have to remit Rs. 320/- as fee for migration certificate (inclusive of matriculation fee). Such students may forward their SSLC and T.C. in original for verification. They have to apply for migration certificate in Form no. 87.

There is no prescribed application form for percentage certificate. Students who wish to get percentage certificate can apply for the same with a request along with copies of all mark lists/grade cards and a fee of Rs. 530/-

Documents to be submitted:

  • Request for Duplicate certificate/ mark list addressed to the Controller of Examinations, showing clearly the accessible details of the original certificate/ mark list declared to have been lost and the circumstances leading to its loss/ the reasons for submitting the request.
  • Affidavit from a Notary Public stating-
    • That the relevant certificate/mark list has been irrecoverably lost
    • That the certificate/mark list has not been used for any other purpose
    • That the certificate/mark list will be surrendered to the University in the event of the same being recovered in future
    • That the duplicate certificate/mark list will not be misused for any purpose
  • Letter from the Principal of the College from which the candidate has completed the course stating that he/she is not involved in any case of malpractice and no such case is pending against him/her and that the College does not have any objection in issuing a duplicate certificate/mark list to the candidate.

Application for migration certificate can be submitted through the Online Certificate Portal of Mahatma Gandhi University.

Documents to be uploaded:

  • 10th  standard certificate
  • 12th standard certificate
  • Certificate of Qualifying Examination
  • Final Year/Semester mark list
  • Non malpractice certificate from the Principal (only for discontinued students)
  • Transfer Certificate

Fee details:

  • Migration certificate- upto 5 years- Rs. 320/-
  • Migration certificate- above 5 years- Rs. 530/-
  • Duplicate migration certificate- Rs. 530/-

When the certificate is ready, students can download the certificate from Online Certificate Portal itself.

Application for genuineness verification of each copy of mark list should be submitted through Online Application Portal of the University. A Candidate who applies for Genuineness verification of Grade Cards shall upload self attested copy of 10th standard pass certificate or equivalent certificate and copies of Grade Cards for which verification needed. The student may also upload the Academic Records Request Form (if applicable). The verified/attested documents shall be sent in a sealed cover to the address mentioned in the application form.

FEES:

  • Genuineness verification of each copy of Grade Card -Rs.590/-

There is no prescribed application form for applying for genuineness verification of Degree certificate.

Application for Official Transcript of marks/grades can be submitted through the Online Application Portal of the University. Class X certificate or equivalent certificate issued by a board approved by Central or State Government should be submitted as proof of date of birth. Provisional certificate or original Degree certificate (UG/PG as applicable) and all mark lists/grade cards of the programme shall also be submitted. The student may also upload the Academic Records Request Form (if applicable).

  • Fee for Official Transcript of marks/grade points- Rs. 2100/- per copy.
  • Search fee within one year of publication of result- Nil
  • Search fee after one year of publication of result, but before 5 years- Rs.55/-
  • Search fee after 5 years of publication of result, but before 10 years- Rs.105/-

Application for semester wise grade card can be submitted through Online Application Portal of the University.

Fee details:

  • Rs.265/- per grade card.
  • Transmission charge: Rs.80/-(within India) , Rs.420/-(outside India)

Application for consolidated grade card can be submitted through Online Application Portal of the University. Regular successful candidates will be issued Provisional certificate and consolidated grade card after publication of results of the end semester examination through Principals. However failed students should apply for the consolidation / classification of results and issue of Provisional Certificate after the successful completion of the programme with requisite fee.

Application in the prescribed form along with required fee has to be submitted. Self attested copies of all semester grade cards, Class X and Class XII certificates shall also be submitted.

Application for Provisional Certificate can be submitted through Online Application Portal of the University. At present fee for Provisional Certificate is collected from regular students along with the fee of end semester examination. Successful regular students will be issued the Provisional Certificate after publication of results of the end semester examination along with the Final & Consolidated mark lists, through the Principals. However failed students should apply for the consolidation / classification of results and issue of Provisional Certificate after the successful completion of the programme with requisite fee.

Application in the prescribed form along with prescribed fee has to be submitted. Self attested copies of all grade cards, 10th standard pass certificate and Plus two certificate shall be submitted with the application.

  1. For UG Degree certificate- Rs.1290/-
  2. Masters Degree certificate- Rs.1360/-

Application for Original Degree certificate can be submitted through the Online Application Portal of the University. Prescribed fee along with search fee (if applicable) has to be remitted. Self attested copies of Provisional certificate, all grade cards (supplementary, betterment if any) including consolidated grade card of the programme, 10th standard pass certificate or equivalent certificate mentioning the date of birth and Plus two or equivalent certificate shall be submitted. Students applying for degree certificate of PG programme, M.Phil, PhD, B.Ed shall also upload a copy of their original qualifying degree certificate.

Fee details:

  1. UG (other than UG-CBCSS)- Rs. 225/-
  2. UG- CBCSS- Rs. 275/-
  3. Masters Degree Certificate- Rs. 295/-
  4. M.Phil Degree Certificate- Rs. 1050/-
  5. Ph.D Degree Certificate- Rs. 1050/-
  6. Additional Rs. 945/- for fast track degree certificate.

Search Fee is payable as per the table shown below:

  1. Within one year of publication of results: Nil
  2. After One year of publication of result: Rs. 55/-
  3. After five years of the Publication of result: Rs. 105/-
  4. After 10 years of publication of result: 265/-

Students can apply for duplicate hall ticket in the prescribed form available at the examination store of the University / University website(www.mgu.ac.in) with a fee of Rs.200/-. 

If downloaded application form is used an additional amount of Rs.20/- should be remitted along with fee for duplicate hall ticket.

After Revaluation, the list of students whose Revaluation procedure is completed will be published in the University website (www.mgu.ac.in). Students can take print out of the downloaded MEMO which shows the changes on Revaluation. They shall submit the MEMO along with a request and original mark list/grade card of the examination concerned (print out of the result published in the University website in the case of examinations for which marklists/grade cards are not issued) with in three months from the date of the MEMO. They can download the modified results published online after effecting the changes on RV once the procedure for the same is done.
